Scams may involve Google or other ads designed to confuse potential customers. There are endless local news stories about these thieves:

• That “Lockouts As low as $59” offer becomes $300, $1000 or more when you get the bill.
• Here is a report from the ALOA.
• The Ad “Serving your area/town” is not local and not legitimate. Many fake addresses and phone numbers and business names are used — but an Asian call center or dishonest business takes your call, and hooks you up with an unqualified local person who shows up and continues the scam!
• They may steal your credit/debit card information. they have your name, license, address, email etc.
• They create websites, ads and business directory listings designed to resemble those of legitimate locksmiths.
